About me
Hi, I am Awatef, a junior instructional designer working on strengthening my skills by preparing for a Master's degree in Instructional Design at HBMSU, Dubai (UAE). I believe that changing teaching and learning methods by integrating constructivist applications along with technology will create new environments for learning that does not seem ordinary for the learner who is the future of our societies.
My Designing Philosophy
Focused on the improvement of learning environments, I always try to include in my learning designs constructivist approaches blended with high use of several theories to strengthen my designs and be able to cover all types of learners. I am always in search of platforms and eTools where I can see how people learn and try to collect the best practices and include them in my designs and Artifacts. This is my way to keep my learning updated!
I could develop many new skills and grow my knowledge to see me creating a new language learning model (still to come) for blended environments that suit UAE private schools. This is what takes most of my time right now! Instructional design is the last educational skill I learned, thankfully in a challenging time (Covid-19).

In this ePortfolio, you can find my articles in the Blog page that are related directly to the topic of constructing effective eLearning, how to design with mobile learning skills, how to improve visuality and engineer your course design, how to start it, what community to follow, and many other ideas and readings for novice instructional designers, in addition to many projects and original contents that I wrote earlier this year.
The content of this ePortfolio is original and was written for academic purposes at Hamdan Bin Mohamed Smart University, as a final project for the course of Mobile learning with Doctor Al-Mekhlafi A. However, the content of my website was built progressively throughout the years and contains all my achievements: videos, articles, group projects, and even my participation in Innovation Arabia conferences as well.
